The Northeast Florida MLS October housing numbers are out for the Jacksonville market and there is good news for the Southside area – our absorption rate is just under seven months:

If this trend continues, our local analysts predict we’ll reach the six month mark by Spring 2012.

I am asked this question a lot this time of year. In my own book of business, the period between Halloween and New Years in Northeast Florida has proven to be quite busy. We typically see an increase in activity from out of town buyers, “Snow Birds”, and corporate relocation clients. So if you are unsure what to do, please discuss your strategy with your Realtor. Depending upon your motivation, local market conditions, and neighborhood competition, now may be the best time for you to list.

New Short Sale Assistance for Jacksonville Homeowners

In an effort to motivate homeowners in Florida to consider a Short Sale, Bank of America is offering enhanced relocation assistance for a limited time. Eligible Florida homeowners may now qualify to receive a cash incentive of $5,000 to $20,000 and have any deficiency waived.

For the last few months, RE/MAX and Bank of America have been cooperating in an Alternative Right Party Contract program across the United States. ARPC is designed to allow agents a unique way to reach out to delinquent homeowners and inform them on foreclosure alternatives like Short Sales. Now, for a limited time, Bank of America is offering enhanced relocation assistance for eligible Florida homeowners.

Eligibility:
- Homeowners in the State of Florida
- Short Sales initiated without an offer between September 26 and November 30
- Be eligible for one of the proprietary Bank of America Short Sale programs or HAFA
